A native of Miami, Florida, Alekos "Kosie" Syropoulos has become internationally recognized for his contributions as a jazz saxophonist, keyboardist, composer, producer, and studio musician.
Over the course of his musical career, Alekos has performed and/or recorded with Anderson . Paak, Mac Miller, Wiz Kid, Robin Thicke, The Midnight, DUX, Stan Taylor, Vulfpeck, Cory Wong, DJ Williams, Tiffany Gouche, JMSN, Desi Valentine, Western Standard Time Ska Orchestra, Raquel Rodriguez, Madelyn Grant, and The Macpodz. He has produced songs for Harry Mack, Stan Taylor, Nicole Row, TJ Wilkins, Amanda Simons, Lumi Jin, DUX, and Michael Days to name a few.
In 2019, he began releasing new music under the producer moniker "Kosie." As a solo artist, Kosie has begun to release a few singles. "Dynasty to Be" and "Ghost in Me." His aesthetic is fond of atmospheric synth tones, woodwinds, and vibrant rhythms, with an eclectic stylistic reach touching on jazz, hip-hop, funk, and electronic music. His debut album "Beauty Sleep" released in the summer of 2019 on all platforms.
As an educator, Alekos teaches private students in the Los Angeles area on saxophone, clarinet, music production, piano, music theory, improv, and music composition.
